Focus Forward CI has partnered with the Community Foundation of Central Illinois to establish the Collaborative Funding Plan, which aims to raise $3 million in each of the next five years from a variety of sources—60 percent from the private sector; 40 percent from the public sector. The agreement allows for donors to make tax-deductible contributions in support of the regional economic development initiative. If achieved by 2018, FFCI’s goals would add $1.75 billion annually to regional payrolls and an estimated $33-$34 million a year in state and local tax revenue.
